January 4-12, 2013 - Siesta Key and Sun-N-Fun Resort, Sarasota, FL

I was told the other day that there are 150 activities scheduled every week at this resort...and, even though I haven't counted them, I believe it!  With the exception of an afternoon in Siesta Key, some shopping, and a movie, we have been very content, thus far, to relax and enjoy some of the amenities the resort has to offer.

It was a beautiful drive down the coast to Siesta Key...as you can see from the sign it is reputed to be the #1 Beach in the USA...maybe...maybe not...but I know it is in the "Top 10"!  It is a beautiful, wide beach with very white sand, which could very well make it #1!

OK...I confess...it is now August 19!  We are in Asheville, NC and it is raining so I thought I would "attempt" to update our blog!  I found this post sitting in "drafts"!  Again, it will be a "challenge" to remember what we have done since then...but I'm going to try!
