Actually, I started trying to "catch-up" the blog in January before we left for Florida. Not only did I not get caught up, I am now further behind! It is now May 25, 2012 and we are leaving June 3 for the New England states...which means if I am going to keep up the blog for our next trip I need to get caught up from our last trip...or trip before last because I haven't posted our last trip! OK...bear with me...I will try to make this as brief as possible.....!
So...October was filled with moving back in and all that goes with taking care of things at the house and visiting with friends and family. November was filled with the same, plus 2 great weeks at Ocean Lakes RV Resort in Myrtle Beach with friends and getting the motorhome serviced at Camping World, where we purchased it. A bonus of the trip was a "mini-reunion" with my 2 brothers, sister, and sister-in-law.
Me, Maria LaHaise, Snookie Nash and "the girls"...
and Roger LaHaise, Joe Nash and Glenn watching football games on the TV outside the motorhome.
Dinner at Lee's Inlet Kitchen in Murrell's Inlet with Jack, Pam, Ellen and Tommy.
Lunch at the Dunes Club in Myrtle Beach...what wonderful memories we have of our childhood!
A visit to Mother and Daddy's "resting place".
Dinner at the Sea Captain's House.
A very cold night watching the Myrtle Beach Seahawks play Bluffton. Too much fun going back to a Myrtle Beach football game since my brothers played football and my sister and I were cheerleaders back in the late 60's and early 70's!
The end of a great day at the Grande Dunes Marriott with coffee and hot chocolate!
November ended with a stop in Florence at my sister's on Thanksgiving Day, celebrating my birthday at Jean's with the Nashes and LaHaises, and a really great Carolina-Clemson football game with USC winning again!
My nieces, Meredith and Erin, were my best birthday present ever on Nov. 27, 1978!
Love my "Little Buddie" Jean!
Glenn's "girls" ready for the BIG GAME! Go Gamecocks!
December started off with my nieces, Jennifer, Meredith and Erin, and nephew, Bradley planning a surprise birthday lunch for my sister, Ellen in Columbia. What a great day...all of our great-nieces and great nephew were there too!
A trip to Greenwood to celebrate Glenn's dad's 87th birthday.
Teresa, Russell, Cody and Bryan came to Irmo from Michigan for a few days before Christmas and then we went to Greenwood to celebrate Christmas with Glenn's family. So much fun we didn't take many pictures!
We celebrated New Year's weekend at the Isle of Palms with our friends Danny and Judi Bishop and Ronnie and Donna Salley. It was a wonderfully quiet one shared with special friends.
January means it's time to "kick it in" and get ready for our "Winter in Florida"!
