I think the "girls" are happy to be home!
In 2011, our 25th wedding anniversary gift to each other was a motorhome and a 4 month trip out west, primarily focusing on national parks. We spent the winter of 2012 on the east coast of Florida, summer 2012 in New England and Canada, and now winter 2013 on the west coast of Florida. Come join us on our adventures!

March 1 - 8, 2013 - Leaving Florida...Back to the "Real World"
We left Sarasota for South Carolina March 1st, stopping overnight in Jacksonville at Flamingo Lake RV Resort. March 2nd Roger and Maria headed back to Irmo while Glenn and I headed to the Isle of Palms to spend a few days with our friends there.
February 20-28, 2013 - Sarasota, FL - Venice Beach, Plant City - Winery and Strawberries, and Tarpon Springs (Sponge Capital of the World!)
Co-hosting at Palmetto Cove this week is giving me a great opportunity to "catch-up" with the blog. And the office with a beautiful view of the mountains is a great place to work on the computer! So, here's more pictures from our trip to Florida last winter...
Venice Beach
Plant City, FL - Keel and Curley Winery
Parkesdale Farms - The Best Strawberry Shortcake Ever!!!
Tarpon Springs
(The Sponge Capital of the World)
This was our second year visiting Roger's cousin, Darlene and her husband Jacque in Tarpon Springs...yes, it is the "Sponge Capital of the World", and it also has fantastic Greek food and several wonderful parks! Last year the weather was sunny and beautiful so I took lots of pictures. This year...periodic rain...so not as many pictures but still lots of fun!
I would be remiss if I didn't include a few more pictures (taken with my phone) of the activities we participated in...i.e., pickleball (the guys), karoke, etc.
We have had such a great time in Florida...so much so that we have reserved the same site at Sun-N-Fun next year...for 3 months!
