It is so hard to believe that it is 2013...how time flies! We are blessed to, again, be on the road in our motorhome with out "girls"! This time...Sarasota, Florida! We left home Dec. 27, spent 2 nights in Jacksonville, and arrived Dec. 29 at the Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in Sarasota. We plan to stay here, God willing, until March 1, just in time to be home for our "beautiful spring" in South Carolina. We planned this trip with our fantastic Irmo neighbors, Roger and Maria LaHaise, after spending last winter with them at the Seasons In The Sun RV Resort on the east coast of Florida. We had such fun last year that we decided to do it again this year on the west coast of Florida. Unfortunately, the day before we all left Irmo for this great "adventure", unforeseen events caused them to have to delay their trip. We miss them and hope that they will be able to join us soon.
Our second night here, we had dinner at Luma in Venice Beach with our good friends Missi and Alan Youngblood. We had a fantastic time...it was so good seeing them again!

We have truly been resting these last few days, with the exception of watching Carolina play today and Clemson beat LSU last night (Go SC Football Teams...exciting but VERY STRESSFUL games!), but we will eventually leave the resort for some other "adventures"! Did I mention what a fantastic resort this is and how wonderfully nice the staff is??? Anyway, I took a few more pictures of the resort today...we haven't even come close to touring the whole resort yet...it is 177 acres! The recently completed $5 million "Life Fitness" Center and indoor and outdoor swimming pools rival any upscale fitness center or resort. And, yes, we are going to work on our fitness and health while we are here! Be sure to check out the links above for those pictures!
Our "advisors", Suzanne and Brad Warner, are THE BEST! So nice!!! So personable!!! So warm and friendly!!! So helpful!!!!! What more could we ask for!!!!!

The Sun-N-Fun RV Resort and staff are fantastic...so far we really haven't wanted to leave the resort to explore the area, but we will eventually because there are a number of "adventures" we have planned while we are here!
