September 4-5, 2012 - West Kingston, Rhode Island

We are now in Rhode Island...with no "adventures" to report unless you count our drive in the rain from Cape Cod an "adventure"!  Oh...and don't let me forget "setting up" the motorhome in the rain...and "walking" 3 white dogs in the rain.....I guess that could count as "adventures"...just not the "fun" kind!

It was cloudy but nice when we left Cape Cod yesterday morning but as soon as we got to Rhode Island we have been in hard rain, light rain, briefly no rain...some thunder and lightening...hard rain, light rain, briefly no rain.....

We "think" this is a pretty campground (Wawaloam Campground ,
http://www.wawaloam.com/index.html) and we have a nice, large site, but we haven't had a good break in the rain to check it out.  I went out briefly yesterday during a break in the rain to take some pictures but it started raining again when I got about 10 feet from our campsite.  Oh well...

Which brings me to the delay with the blog...really slow internet!  I thought it was slow at Cape Cod...now I wish we had the "fast" internet that we had at Cape Cod!  Maybe when it quits raining...I wish!  Last night I started to blog and upload the few pictures I took and it was taking so long I quit. While I have "a decent amount of" patience, I really do not enjoy sitting and looking at the computer waiting and waiting and waiting for a page to appear!  And then waiting and waiting and waiting for another page...I think you understand what I mean!  OK, I'm going to look at the bright side...slow internet is better than no internet!  I am thankful for all of our blessings!

So...we have enjoyed our time relaxing while it is raining and hope, if the weather report is right, that the rain will move through tonight and the sun will shine tomorrow.  Then we can go on a "fun adventure", either to Newport, RI or Mystic, Connecticut.

Hopefully I will have "fun" pictures tomorrow!

  1. Can you still visit all the mansions in Newport? If so that is a must do I would say. Know what you mean about the internet, especially when you're trying to do a blog. Drives me nuttier!
