Amarillo at 12:15...it was 52 degrees and SO FOGGY!
The fog lifted around 3:00 and it ended up being a beautiful afternoon. This was taken at 6:00 pm and it was 80 degrees!

Day 104 - September 16, 2011 - Amarillo, Texas
We woke up today and it was still cold and foggy. We could hardly see across the campground! Wasn't it nice of us to break the Texas heatwave! It was 52 degrees and still foggy at 12:15 so I took a picture! Then we went to lunch and just drove around to see what was in Amarillo (not much!), did a little shopping, and then came back to the campground, where I did laundry and Glenn cleaned the windshield for our drive tomorrow to Oklahoma City. I know...you wish you had been here!

What I wish is that I had been with you in Santa Fe! I live in Amarillo and grew up in Tucumcari. You met my sister, Linda, at the musuem in Tucumcari. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your photographs and will be peeking in from time to time. It was fun to see a picture of my sis too! You guys take care and drive safely.
