It was a very stressful day...starting with a Truck Stop that, once we got in, was very difficult to get out! No lie! Once we got in there must have been at least 50 trucks in the back to weave through to get out! Not a good start to a long drive!
Today's drive is probably at the top of our list as the worst drive on this trip. The weaving roads in all of the mountains we have driven through were a piece of cake compared to the long, flat land, bumpy roads, heavy traffic (particularly trucks) and strong wind drive we had today! Thank God we were in a heavy motor home...at one point I asked Glenn if something was wrong with the steering because we were weaving so bad! I am also thankful he is such a good driver, or else I would have really been stressed!
Obviously, we arrived safely at the campground, which is very nice, and we love seeing grass and trees again. We were so exhausted after the drive we hooked up cable, plopped down on the sofa and recliner, flipped on ESPN to start watching the UVA/UNC football game and immediately went to sleep! Fortunately, Jean called when the USC/Navy game came on and woke us up! Thanks Jean and Go Gamecocks!
Hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting...there seems to be quite a lot to see in Oklahoma City (much more than when I was last here in the 1980's!)...so tune in tomorrow.....
