It was a beautiful drive to Albuquerque. When we left Holbrook we decided to go back to the Painted Desert at Petrified Forest National Park to see what we missed yesterday. It was spectacular! I thought that would be the end of our scenery for awhile but we had beautiful scenery almost all of the drive to Albuquerque...a real treat! The campground and hosts are great and the location is perfect for us to sightsee without having to drive far. Tuesday we will "hop" back on I-40 and head to Tucumari, NM for an "overnight" stop on our way to Amarillo, TX. We will be home 3 weeks from today...can you believe it! It's hard to believe we have been gone almost 4 months!
Oh yeah...Go Gamecocks! We didn't get to see the game but did catch most of the second half on the radio. Whew...glad it's over!
