Day 112 - September 24, 2011 - Memphis, Tennessee

This time next week we will be home after 118 days on our "adventure".  Hopefully we will have just finished watching USC win another game!  Go Gamecocks!

Oh...back to today!  Well, since we have been to Memphis several times, stayed at The Peabody, eaten at the Rendezvous, visited Elvis at Graceland (ok...he wasn't there), spent time on Beale Street...in other words, been there done that...we decided to start at Mud Island River Park and see where we went from there.

It was a beautiful day to be at the park.  The Annual Dragonboat races were on the Mississippi River so we had fun watching them...and all the spectators!

Then we headed to Beale Street, Home of the Blues, for lunch at the Blues City Cafe...great BBQ ribs and fried catfish!  Talk about "southern hospitality"...the employees obviously love what they are doing!  There's nothing like "real southern hospitality"!  It was a great afternoon just strolling around Beale Street and downtown Memphis!

Tomorrow we head to Nashville...another of our favorite cities!  See you then!
