June 4, 2012 - The "Good Old Days" in Mayberry (Mt. Airy) NC

What a fun day we had in "Mayberry"...I mean "Historic Downtown Mt. Airy"!  It is a charming town and we had so much fun going to all of Andy and Barney's old haunts...the Mayberry Courthouse, Wally's Service Station, and Floyd's Barber Shop, to name a few.  We couldn't take pictures in the Andy Griffin Museum but wait until you see the great statue of Andy and Opie in the front of the museum! 

I'm not going to go into detail of all we saw today...you will just have to peruse the pictures (I put a lot of comments under the pictures)!





This has been a great stop and a great beginning to our trip!
