June 19, 2012 - Hershey, PA
Our "adventure" today was to go to Hershey, PA and tour the Hershey World of Chocolate Museum and Hershey Gardens. The museum was very informative...he was quite a remarkable man! And the gardens were absolutely beautiful!!! The heat prevented us from touring the whole 23 acres but we definitely walked around enough to know that we would return if we are ever in the area. The Butterfly House was totally amazing!!! Butterflys flying everywhere...we couldn't even come close to photographing all the species...and there were hundreds of them! Saturday is the 75th anniversary of the park...as I said...amazing!
We wrapped the day up by driving to the Milton Hershey School Founders Hall. At 74 feet high, it is the second largest rotunda in the world. Unfortunately, it was closed when we got there but I took some pictures through the window in the door...better than nothing!
And yes...we did buy some chocolate!!!
Here's a few pictures and you can click on the link to see the album... really interesting "Hershey" facts from the museum and beautiful garden and butterfly pictures!
Chocolate, flowers and butterflies...what more can you ask for? Sounds(and looks)like a beautiful day!!
