The campground is HUGH and has so much to offer, particularly to families with kids. It sits right next to Harpers Ferry National Historic Park and actually has markers within the campground where American soldiers were during the civil war. Hard to believe with so many families here that it is still pretty quiet! I walked around and took pictures but will post only a few here.
I spent the afternoon making reservations for our stops through the middle of July, which is when we will be in Bar Harbor, Maine. Our biggest concern was July 4th week but we now have confirmed reservations in Vermont then. Yeah!
For those of you interesting in looking up our "home base" campgrounds on the internet, our reservations are at:
KOA Harpers Ferry, WV - June 14-17
KOA Elizabethtown/Hershey PA - June 17-21
KOA Bellefonte/State College PA - June 21-23
KOA Niagara Falls ON Canada - June 23-27
KOA 1000 Islands, Henderson NY - June 27-29
KOA Lake Placid/Whiteface Mtn. Wilmington NY - June 29-July 2
North Beach Campground, Burlington VT - July 2-5
Moose River Campground, Saint Johnsbury, VT - July 5-9
KOA Chocorua, Tamworth NH - July 9-12
KOA Oceanside Bar Harbor, ME - July 12-17
When we get closer to Bar Harbor, we will start looking for "home base" campgrounds for the rest of our "adventures" through New England. This is just too much fun!

Your list of destinations looks very exciting! We know you will love Niagra Falls and Bar Harbor for Acadia National Park. What awesome places! Don't think we've been to any of the other destinations, so looking forward to info and photo tours of those places. Be safe!
