August 8, 2012 - Harbor (Cape Ann/Lighthouse) Tour - Gloucester, Mass.

We thought yesterday was fun but today was even better!  We had reservations for the lighthouse tour through Harbor Tours at 2:15 and decided first to go through the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center.  It was a fun maritime museum and we were so glad we took the time to go through it!

But the real fun was the harbor tour where we circled Cape Ann by boat, which also enabled us to see all 6 lighthouses (and take some really great pictures!).  Captain Steve, the owner of Cape Ann Harbor Tours, and Pat were so outgoing and informative!  The weather was fantastic, the cruise was great, and they were so considerate to tell me which side of the boat to be on to get the best shots of each lighthouse...I call that "going beyond the duty"!  We got lots and lots and lots of great pictures so get settled with your coffee and just set your slide show to run!  Steve and Pat, many thanks for a great day in Gloucester!  If anyone looking at the blog is ever interested in a harbor tour, click on www.capeannharbortours.com.  They are Cape Ann's longest running sightseeing company, family owned and operated, and offer a variety of harbor tours and events.

We had a great dinner at LobstaLand Restaurant and headed home with full bellies to look at pictures and reminisce about the day!

Since it's late (actually early), I am just going to attach the links to the pictures and post some on the blog later.  There are a lot of pictures in my album (surprise!) so be patient and give them a minute to load.
