Day 61 - August 4, 2011 - Jackson WY

A fun day!  We started off going downtown again...love this town!  We decided we wanted pizza for lunch so went to Pinky G's Pizza.  Can you believe there were 2 people from South Carolina working there?  One was a guy who used to live in Charleston and the other was Sara Knowlton who goes to USC and is living with her cousin in Jackson for the summer.  She grew up in Columbia in Forest Acres, went to Heathwood Hall, her dad is an attorney at Nelson, Mullins etc.etc. law firm, and one of her good friends parents own the house beside the house across the street from our former house at the Isle of Palms!  (I know the IOP part is confusing!).  Anyway, we met the people who own that house...they are from Charlotte and very nice!  Her brother currently goes to College of Charleston.  She will be heading back to USC in a few weeks.  I didn't have my camera with me (surprise!) so I took pictures with my phone.  The pizza was good too!

Then we headed out to Jackson Lake and the Lodge...with many stops on the way (imagine that).  And...the big news...we saw several animals we had not seen before...a Redhead duck, a Unita ground squirrel, a beaver, and our first moose!  So exciting!  We got some great pictures, even though many of them were taken out of the window of a moving jeep!  We loved the Jackson Lake Lodge!  And the view of the mountains from the inside is amazing!
