Day 69 - August 12, 2011 - Park City, Utah

What a fun day we had in Park City, Utah!  We can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the winter with the snow and the ski slopes open!

The weather was great...sunny and so comfortable...we just walked around town, visiting shops, the museum, gallerys, etc. There really is a lot of history to Park City, as it was a big mining town.  It also is the home of the Sundance Film Festival and was the scene of about 40% of the 2002 Winter Olympic events. We spent so much time downtown that when we got to Olympic Park it had just closed so we were only able to take some pictures from outside the gates.  Once again, too many things we want to experience and too little time!  We also were going to have lunch at Robert Redford's restaurant, Zoom, but arrived after they closed for lunch so we had lunch at a sidewalk cafe.  When Zoom reopened for dinner at 5:00 we were not hungry but we did get a few pictures of the restaurant.

So glad we made Salt Lake City one of the stops on our "adventure"!  We could easily stay here for weeks and not do all of the things we want to do!
