Day 74 - August 17, 2011 - Moab, Utah

I know that most of you will not believe it...but we didn't take a single picture today!  No...not one!

We got up this morning and decided to take another "rest" day.  Of course, that doesn't really mean "rest" like do nothing but relax.  What is means is that we didn't visit any national parks or museums and walk 6-8 miles in the scorching sun. What we did do was "seriously" plan and route the rest of our trip.  We have done this numerous times in the past but we have not been good about sticking to the plan.  In other words, we have been having a lot of fun!  We have extended our stays in so many places that our 3 month trip is turning into 4.  Now, it is time for us to seriously think about going home...which requires more planning!  And with a few breaks in between, we think we have a plan (again)!

I won't go into the details (you will have to keep checking the blog to find out where we are!) but, as it stands this minute, we will return home to Irmo September 30.   According to the program we are using to route our trip, the breakdown will be 6,769.4 miles in the motor home (the jeep is another story) and 117 days, 4 hours and 5 minutes!  Aren't you glad you asked?

The good news is that at least we have a plan...again!  Tomorrow we will be back on the national park circuit...Canyonlands National Park...which means MORE PICTURES!  See you then!
