The day began with a visit to the store and then lunch at The Cowboy Bar in Jackson. It had quite a lot of character, as you can see from the pictures, and the food was great! A little more "browsing around town", and then on to Jackson Point, Signal Mountain, Chapel of the Transfiguration (a rustic Episcopal Chapel built in the summer of 1925), and Menor's Ferry Historic Area. Of course, we were on the lookout for wildlife every step of the way!
We met some really nice people, a family from Connecticut, a cute young couple from Chicago, Bailey and Matthew from Dallas, Patrick the photographer from Rochester, Minnesota, and a really nice family from Denver. I just wish that I would remember to get pictures and names of all the really nice people we meet. I usually am enjoying the conversation so much that I don't think about it until it's too late! The story of my life!
We went back out to the National Elk Refuge hoping to see a Bull Moose. We did see lots of elk, another female moose, another beaver, a butterfly, and some crows but that was it for the day. Tomorrow we leave for Craters of the Moon in Arco, Idaho. Are we diverse, or what!
