July 13, 2012 - North Conway, New Hampshire

Another day of sunshine, perfect for more sightseeing in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.  First stop, the Bartlett Covered Bridge in Glen on the Saco River.  Built in 1850, and replaced by a steel bridge in 1939, the bridge is now privately owned and has been converted into a gift shop next to the Covered Bridge House Bed and Breakfast.

Then on to Diana's Baths for a hike.  Diana's Baths are fed by Lucy Brook and created by a series of ledges which originate near the summit of Big Attitash Mountain.  The water flow varies greatly, depending on rainfall and when snow melts on the nearby White Mountains. What a great, leisurely hike to the falls, obviously a popular spot for locals looking to spend family time and cooling off in the summer heat!

Our next stop was the top of Cathedral Ledge in Echo State Park.  Cathedral is a favorite of rock climbers everywhere.  The view from the top of Mt. Washington Valley, North  Conway, and Echo Lake is breathtaking!
