July 4, 2012 - Shelburne, VT

Happy Independence Day and God Bless America!!!
We celebrated July 4th by visiting Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont.  It is one of the finest, most diverse, and idiosyncratic museums of art and Americana.  It was founded in 1947 by Electra Havemeyer Webb and, today, over 150,000 works are exhibited in 39 Exhibition Buildings on a 45-acre site.  It is unlike any museum we have ever seen or could imagine and is impossible to fully and leisurely see everything as we wanted to in one day...but we sure gave it our best shot!  It was a fantastic day and a great way to celebrate our country's independence!

  1. Hi Guys!

Not much of a museum person, but that one looks interesting!

Where you at? Get a little worried when I wake up to no blogs!!
