July 2, 2012 - Burlington, Vermont

We took the "scenic route" along Lake Champlain from Lake Placid to Burlington, Vermont and it was, for the most part, beautiful!

We are staying at the North Beach Campground on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont.  The campground is operated by the City of Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation and sits on almost 45 acres of woods and beach.  We really lucked out getting reservations here during July 4th week.  Fortunately they had a cancellation the afternoon that I called.  We should be able to see the July 4th festivities and fireworks from our beach area!

Glenn has been planning our "adventure" for tomorrow while I have been uploading pictures so I don't know yet what we will be doing. There are so many things we want to do in Vermont...we will be here until July 5 and then move to a campground on the east side of the state.

I cannot close this without saying, once again, that Glenn is absolutely THE BEST DRIVER IN EVERY SITUATION...tight areas, narrow roads and bridges, downtown traffic, you name it!
And we are SO BLESSED...Thank you God!!!!!
