July 29, 2012 - Freeport, Maine

We woke up to rain, which meant we had to switch to Plan B for today's "adventure".  Plan B, you ask?  Freeport, LL Beam, and the outlets, of course!  And, it seemed, everyone else in Maine had the same idea!  In spite of the rain and crowds, it still was fun and, as everyone we know who has been to Maine told us, you can't come to Maine without going to LL Beam and Freeport!  It's quite an adventure!

Our camping buddies, aka Carolina Strollers, Floaters, and Coasters, jokingly called Glenn "Mr. LL Beam because he always "dressed the part", whether we were hiking, kayaking, or biking, so I made him pose for a picture with the sculpture of the real LL Beam!

I'm sure some of you are wondering if we decided to "help the economy" in Freeport. What do you think???  After all, we do have our reputation to uphold!!!
