Day 42 - July 16, 2011 - Spearfish SD

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Pictures have now been posted from July 6 through today!  Unfortunately, I did not have time to write much about each section...however, the blog is finally current again!  Let's hope I can keep it that way!!!

Today was our last day in Spearfish.  What a great week it has been with Duane and Debbie!  We will look forward to another "reunion" when we go on another "adventure" wherever they are in these great United States, or when they come to South Carolina...which ever comes first!

Today we went to the 34th Annual Festival in the Park in the fabulous Spearfish City Park next to the campground.  It is a 3 day festival with hundreds of vendors and live music. It was so much fun!  Woops...did I mention that it was also VERY HOT...in the high 90's!  This was the very first day on our trip that I felt I was in South Carolina!  As you can see from the pictures...I was sweating (I mean glistening!) profusely!  I'm not complaining...we have been so lucky this trip to avoid any bad weather (except for the rain in Munising...and even that wasn't bad).  It's supposed to get to 100 here this week and in North Dakota so I guess hot weather doesn't discriminate in the United States!

Tomorrow we leave for Medora, North Dakota and Teddy Roosevelt National Park.  Thanks again, Duane and Debbie, for a wonderful and memorable week!
See ya!!!
