Day 19 - Munising MI

Hey all!  Thanks so much for letting us know how much you are enjoying our blog and travels!  We have been trying to "tell the story with pictures"!  Obviously, the internet server up here is not as excited about us sharing our adventures!

It has been "touch and go" for days...compressing pictures, uploading in Picasa and then to the blog.  I have had SO MANY love/hate relationships with the computer and internet...but...

TODAY THINGS ARE FINALLY WORKING!!!

You can now see the pictures at Mackinaw Island (Day 14) and our excursions at Mackinaw City (Day 15).  I have everything ready and as soon as I finish today's blog I will upload the pictures from Sault Ste Marie (Day 16) and Munising-Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (Day 18 and not to be missed!).

And now, back to today...

We decided to hike some of the trails to waterfalls on the Pictured Rocks lakeshore. As soon as we left this beautifully wooded campground, we realized that it was very, very foggy.  In fact, we could hardly see 200 yards in front of us!  Went to the Dogpatch Restaurant (one of the "happening places" in Munising) for lunch first, thinking maybe the fog would burn off.  It didn't!  We did get to Miners Falls...a beautiful trail, and got some pretty good pictures.  Then we went and hiked the trail to Miners Castle Overlook...so foggy we couldn't see anything (but at least we got to see it on our boat tour yesterday!).  We decided then to come back to the motorhome and relax...plus it gave me the opportunity to try to get the pictures posted.    Good thing we did...it started raining again about 30 minutes after we got back and hasn't stopped yet! Tomorrow we are going to go to Grand Marais and then we will leave Saturday for Wisconsin.
