Day 22 - Green Bay, Wisconsin

Well, it's actually 1:30 am Monday morning...2:30 SC time so I am not going to post much right now, other than that we have spent the night planning and routing the rest of our trip.  Yeah...we have direction (or more direction than we have had so far!).  We are going to stay in Green Bay one more day and then leave Tuesday for Rochester, Minnesota.

What a beautiful day today was!  The high was around 78, the sun was shining, and the humidity was 49%.  We went to two cheese factories...both were closed on Sunday, so we went to lunch downtown and then drove to the Bay Beach Amusement Park and Kastle Park area.  Then we drove downtown to see the sights and, while we were taking pictures at the courthouse, the Mayor of Green Bay stopped (he was riding his bicycle!) and we talked to him about 30 minutes.  Love this town and the people here!!!  We then went to the waterfront park and Neville Public Museum but only had enough time there (30 minutes before they closed) to know we want to go back...which we are going to do tomorrow (in addition to working on our travel schedule).

We're going to bed now.  I will post pictures tomorrow (or I guess I mean later today)!

I told you we loved having to camp at the Brown County Fairgrounds.  Here are some pictures so that you will understand why!

First Cheese Factory we didn't see!

A few Bay pictures.

Glenn with Mayor James J. Schmitt

Mayor Schmitt goes to church here.  He grew up in Green Bay and told us so much about the city!  President Kennedy attended services when he was campaigning in Green Bay!

The doors are brass!

Neville Public Museum...more pictures are posted in tomorrow's blog, since we went back.

The Leicht Memorial Park is on the grounds of the museum.

Waterside Park on the banks of the Fox River.

Glenn was even able to wash the motorhome!
